Sat Sharma addresses the public at Namo Exhibition in Bandipora, Kashmir

On 30 September, Sat Sharma, the J&K BJP President, criticized the Congress, National Conference (NC), and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for their opportunist politics, stating that these actions have hindered the development of the region and the nation. Sharma made these remarks at the Namo Exhibition in Gulshan Chowk, Bandipora, Kashmir, organized as part of the ongoing Seva Parv coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday celebrations.

Attended by prominent leaders including J&K BJP General Secretary Anwar Khan and District President Bandipora Mudassir Farooq Jan, the event has brought together local BJP leaders to showcase the government’s achievements. In his address, Sharma emphasized the betrayal inherent in the INDI alliance, blaming these parties for decades of political dynasties that thrived on corruption and nepotism.

Sharma stated, “For too long, these dynastic parties have thrived in Jammu & Kashmir, leaving our youth disillusioned.” He highlighted how the politics of self-interest and family rule prevented the region from accessing growth opportunities and left a generation with shattered dreams. According to Sharma, the Congress and its allies ensured that Jammu & Kashmir remained stagnant while they enjoyed lavish power benefits.

In contrast, Sharma praised Prime Minister Modi for revolutionizing India and J&K with a focus on transparency and development. He argued that since 2014, the Modi government has dismantled the structures of corruption and favoritism, promoting infrastructure expansion and social justice, and empowering marginalized communities. “The strides made under Modi Ji’s leadership reflect a vision of ‘New India,’” he added.

Sharma pointed to visible differences between the hollow promises made by INDI alliance parties and the substantial results achieved by the BJP. “Every citizen can now see the impact of our work compared to the empty claims of other parties,” he asserted.

J&K BJP General Secretary Anwar Khan stated that the Namo Exhibition symbolizes every milestone of Modi’s life, representing sacrifice and a clear vision against the backdrop of the INDI alliance, which stands for betrayal and corruption. “Our exhibition reflects a path of integrity and commitment to the people,” claimed Khan.

Mudassir Farooq Jan echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that Modi’s leadership has provided a new global identity for both India and J&K. Jan concluded with a pledge that the BJP would undertake a mission to communicate these achievements to the masses effectively.
