Jammu, Sept 30: The Directorate of School Education Jammu has officially announced crucial changes to school timings that will affect both government and private institutions across the Jammu division.
Starting from October 2023, schools located in the Summer Zone will operate from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This schedule will continue until the end of October, after which a revised timing of 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM will be implemented beginning November 1.
In contrast, schools within the Jammu Municipal Corporation limits and adjacent urban areas will adhere to the 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM schedule year-round, ensuring consistency for students in these regions.
For the Winter Zone, the alteration in timings takes effect immediately on October 1, with the new operational hours set for 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. This seasonal adjustment aims to accommodate the colder weather conditions faced during winter months.
Officials from the Department of School Education have made it clea… that strict action will follow for schools that fail to comply with these new regulations. The enforcement of these timings seeks to maintain uniform academic operations across Jammu’s diverse educational landscape.
