There was no relief from toxic air in the national capital on Saturday, with Delhi continuing to reel under “very poor” air quality, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
The city’s overall Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 360 as per the 9 a.m. bulletin. As defined by the CPCB, an AQI of 0–50 is considered good, 51–100 satisfactory, 101–200 moderate, 201–300 poor, 301–400 very poor, and 401–500 severe.
Delhi also recorded a minimum temperature of 11.8°C, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported.
The IMD has predicted fog through the day, with the maximum temperature expected to reach around 28.2°C. The relative humidity at 8:30 a.m. was recorded at 100 percent, indicating dense moisture-laden conditions that often worsen pollution and visibility levels.
